Kazak rugs trace their origins to the Caucasus Mountains, specifically the Kazak district in present-day western Azerbaijan, during the 18th–19th centuries. Woven by local tribal communities using wool and bold geometric designs in vivid primary colors, these distinctive pile carpets reflect the region's rich cultural crossroads and nomadic influences.
